Thanksgiving Travel Tips

Thanksgiving Travel Tips

Are you traveling for Thanksgiving? Hitting the road during the holidays can make some drivers nervous. Booking a flight and arriving on time can be stressful as well. Fortunately taking a few simple steps can streamline your holiday travels. Celebrate the holidays the stress-free way with these Thanksgiving travel tips from us here at Sunny King Honda!

  • Travel Smart – Use your smartphone to your advantage this holiday season. Travel smart by using helpful apps to access flight information and make arrangements accordingly. Some apps even give a full layout of the airport, allowing you to find your gate as easily as possible. Drivers can check out real-time navigation apps that provide directions for the fastest route and avoid hazards that can tack on hours to an already long drive.
  • Call Ahead – Calling ahead before arriving at your destination can help relieve some of the stress of the holiday season. Doing so allows your hosts to finish what they’re doing and greet you rather than attempting to do both at the same time. Lower stress levels all around with a simple phone call this holiday season.
  • Pack Smart – Pack only what you need for the road and your flight. Avoid extra baggage fees and fighting with luggage by shipping extra clothes and similar items through the mail.

Redesigned 2017 Honda CR-V to Arrive This Winter

The redesigned Honda CR-V is expected to arrive at dealerships in winter and it’s sure to be something fierce. The all-new fifth-generation small SUV will boast improved fuel economy, performance, and plenty of other upgrades that set it apart from the pack. The 2017 Honda CR-V will feature a more aggressive stance, upgraded technologies, and much more.

The new Honda CR-V will boast a wider, more athletic look with LED headlights and taillights that accent the new styling. Inside, drivers can expect to see premium materials, like a soft-touch instrument panel, as well as a new infotainment system. The CR-V will also feature Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Honda is expecting best-in-class fuel economy ratings from both the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The latter engine also debuted in the new Honda Civic. Both engines will be mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission.

Since its introduction in 1997, the Honda CR-V has become the bestselling SUV in the United States with nearly four million units sold. This year, sales are up 1.5%.

It wouldn’t be wrong to expect great things from the all-new 2017 Honda CR-V.
