2018 Honda Accord is Being Redesigned

2018 Honda Accord redesign

For the 2018 model year, the popular Honda Accord is being redesigned. This next-generation model will offer buyers a more modern car with some great updates. One notable change is that Honda will no longer offer an Accord coupe model.

Buyers will get to choose from two turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a hybrid powertrain. In addition, there are three transmission options: manual, continuously variable transmission (CVT), or automatic. Honda will officially release efficiency information closer to the fall; however, we expect to see some gains in fuel economy, based on these updates.

Safety-wise, the Accord is receiving another big update. Honda says nearly 55 percent of the Accord’s structure will be made from high-strength steel to help withstand the forces of an accident. Additionally, every model will come standard with HondaSensing technology. This technology includes a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, a forward collision warning system with automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition technology, and more.

Inside, drivers will find an 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen system that works in a similar way to a smartphone, making it even more user-friendly.

The all-new, redesigned 2018 Honda Accord will be coming to Sunny King Honda this fall. Give us a call today if you want to be one of the first in line to take home this next-generation model.

How to Prepare for Back-to-School

prepare for back-to-school

The school year is right around the corner. If you are still counting down the days, here are a few tips on how to prepare for back-to-school season.

  • Get Supplies. Every school and classroom usually has a unique list of the supplies needed for the year. Make sure you get everything your child needs so they can have a great start.
  • Start early. If your kids barely got to school on time last year, plan to start the morning routine 10-15 minutes earlier to give you more breathing room and less stress.
  • Get homework done. Create a space for your kids to do their homework. If they have a specific area that has all the supplies they need (pencils, erasers, calculators, etc.), they will likely have more success.
  • Stay organized. Create a family calendar in a common space. Try using a large white board with color-coded markers for each member of the family.
  • Out with the old. If your kids are getting new school clothes, help them go through their drawers and closet and pack up clothes that are too small or out of season. This will make it easier for them to find the right clothes for school.

At Sunny King Honda, we hope everyone has a great start to the school year.
