Honda Ridgeline Makes a Comeback in 2017

The 2014 Honda Ridgeline

If you’ve been missing Honda’s pickup truck, fear not, the Ridgeline will be back in 2017 with a whole new look. The all-new Honda Ridgeline is still in development, but Motor Trend was able to grab some spy shots of the prototype.

The new Ridgeline will have the same underpinnings as the 2016 Honda Pilot, which received an extensive makeover this year. Along with its underpinnings, the Ridgeline and Pilot will also share the same engine and 4-wheel drive system.

The spy shots aren’t the first we’ve seen of the new Ridgeline. At this month’s SEMA show, we got a look at the Honda Ridgeline Desert Race Truck, which will race this weekend at the Baja 1000. Although the Desert Race Truck version of the Ridgeline only shares a few elements with the production model, it is a good enough preview to hold us over until the Ridgeline makes its official debut.

So when can we expect to see the 2017 Honda Ridgeline? Look for its debut early next year at either the Detroit Auto Show or the Chicago Auto Show.
