We’re hosting a Honda Owner’s Workshop at Sunny King Honda on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. The event will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, and all new Honda owners are invited. We’ll be demonstrating how to use Honda infotainment systems as well as introducing you to the service drive. Specially trained service experts will be there to answer any questions, and you can enjoy refreshments and win door prizes at the upcoming workshop.
One of the major things we will be covering is the HondaLink system. This system allows you to seamlessly connect your compatible Apple or Android smartphone to get access a vehicle guide, a parking reminder, service appointments, recall notifications, and roadside assistance, among other things. This next-generation technology comes in most new Honda models, allowing you to stay better connected than ever before. Plus, with the HondaLink app you can get updates about your car, remote lock/unlock, remote start, and locate a stolen vehicle, among other things.
The Owner’s Workshop will also provide information about service and repairs, like routine maintenance, service specials, and schedule reminders. You can meet our award-winning service team, and our staff will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have about your new Honda. Mark your calendars for July 25 and remember to stop by Sunny King Honda.
More and more automakers are throwing their hand into the self-driving car market, and Honda is no exception. In fact, recently, Honda has expressed interest in working with Google on their Waymo project, which focuses on autonomous vehicles.
Waymo reportedly already makes use of self-driving sensors, self-driving software, and an advanced computing platform, which would certainly help Honda catapult to the head of the game. These tech features are already being tested on United States soil, and soon, they could be tested in a Honda model.
Honda even announced recently that they would like to have self-driving vehicles on the road by 2020, which is getting closer every day, in an aim to reach a “collision-free” society. Not only would self-driving cars be convenient, but also, they would be much safer.
With automated sensor systems, self-driving vehicles would be able to communicate with each other instantaneously, avoiding collisions with both other cars and street obstacles. There’s no telling how many lives could be saved if there was an enormous shift toward self-driving cars on the road.
Would you like to see self-driving Honda cars on the market? Let us know what you think, or come visit us to check out one of our many currently available (driver-required – of course!) vehicles. We’d be happy to set you up on a test drive!
